(VA) Junior School

Baptism (Christening) is one of the most important steps you can take for the future of your child and we wish to support you in every way in your decision. At the baptism service your child will be presented with a 'First Bible Story Book' which we hope you will use at home to help teach your child about the faith into which they have been baptised. Baptism services at St. Mark's are held within the 10 a.m. Family Communion and at 1 p.m. in the afternoon on most (but not all) Sundays in the year. To find out more please email or telephone the office on (020) 8977 4067. Adult baptism can be carried out by prior arrangement at any time.

Weddings

Your wedding day is one of the most important times in your life and if you decide to hold the ceremony at St. Mark's will do our very best to ensure that your wedding in church is a most happy and memorable occasion.  David, our vicar, would be happy to meet with you before any arrangements are made as would the organist, the choirmaster and any of the many others who wish to make your special day extra special! Because of the recent guidelines issued, most of the arrangements need to be made in person, but we would be happy to send you further details. Please email or telephone (020) 8977 4067.

Publishing
Banns

Banns of Marriage are published on three consecutive Sundays and are required if you live in the parish but plan to hold your ceremony in church elsewhere. We are happy to send an application form by email attachment, but it must be signed and returned by hand or by post. Please email stating whether you wish the form to sent electronically or by post. The cost for the publication of Banns is currently (2010) £34 and remittance should be enclosed with the application form. Please make cheques payable to 'St. Mark's & St. John's PCC.'

In addition to a parish magazine which is published three times per year and a weekly information sheet distributed each Sunday, we publish a quarterly newsletter which is delivered free of charge to almost all addresses within the parish. To receive this in your email 'in box' then simply email us and we will do the rest!
